What home inventory can you find using search?
Everspruce search allows you to find all your home inventory entries by any number of ways.
Search using text
One of the most straightforward ways to find your home belongings is via the search text box. Just type in letters and watch Everspruce automatically filter to the items that you are looking for.
Search using tags
If you’ve tagged items, you can simply search for all items that match that tag quickly and easily.
Search by entry type
There are three filter boxes at the top of the Search page – “Areas”, “Boxes”, and “Items” that automatically filter down to the entry type selected. Most users search with the “Item” filter selected but you can also just as easily search for areas and boxes, respectively as well.
Search checked out items and boxes
The Search page allows you to instantly see all your checked out boxes and items by tapping on the “Checked out” button in the upper right of the page.
Search by sorting
In the upper right corner there is a sort button that allows you to sort the results by the following criteria:
- Name (A – Z)
- Name (Z – A)
- Newest
- Oldest
- Quantity (High to Low)
- Quantity (Low to High)
- Value (High to Low)
- Value (Low to High)
This can help you find items in relation to other items – for example – your most expensive items or the newest item.
Search by image
A lot of our users are visual people, and they like starting out with maybe a key word or two to search on and then they can quickly find the item they’re looking for by looking at each entry’s photos.
Search using a combination of all of the above
The Search page allows you to combine all of these different and powerful search facets to help you find exactly what you’re looking for as fast as possible.
Can I export my search results?
You can easily export your search results via PDF or CSV – just tap on “Options” in the right corner of the Search page. Read exporting your home inventory to learn more about this capability.
What are the benefits of using search?
Search is a powerful way to find your home inventory items and ensures you’ll never lose items again, reduces the need to buy items that you already have, and gives you peace of mind that the things you need will always be one tap away.
