Who Wouldn’t Benefit From Zones?
Most users do not need to add additional zones. This feature is for professional organizers and those who want separate inventories for different users. If you are a regular user with one household, you likely won’t need this feature. In fact, even if you have a storage unit or a 2nd home, you can use your existing zone with one subscription to manage these locations. To do this, simply add an entry that is an area type for each location within your existing zone. See the example below with three different locations – all created as area entry types (Storage facility, storage in a garage in London, and Storage in Seattle):

What is a Zone?
Here’s some things to know about zones:
- Every user has a unique ZONE when they download Everspruce.
- Each ZONE has one admin user who is the creator of the ZONE.
- The admin of a ZONE can invite other people to join and use that ZONE.
- A ZONE has a specific list of users that can access it.
- A user can have access to multiple ZONES.
- Each ZONE is its own enclosed space and entries within a ZONE do not crossover to other ZONES.
- A ZONE has its own subscription status.
- With a subscription, everyone invited to that ZONE has access to it and can create/edit/read unlimited entries within that ZONE. Without a subscription, a ZONE can only have 50 entries.
- To create a new ZONE, you need to have a subscription for at least half of your existing ZONES. For example, if you currently have 4 zones, you would need to have a subscription for at least 2 of them before you can create a new zone.
How Do I Manage Zones?
Changing the Name of a Zone
To change the name of a zone, just follow the steps below:
- Download and open the Everspruce Home Inventory App.
- Tap on HOME in the bottom left.
- Tap on SETTINGS (the gear icon in the upper right).
- Tap on MANAGE ZONES.
- Tap on the zone you want to change the name of.
- Tap on OPTIONS.
- Tap on EDIT ZONE.
- Tap on the name field.
- Change the name of the zone.
- Tap on SAVE.
Adding a Zone
To add a zone, just follow the steps below:
- Download and open the Everspruce Home Inventory App.
- Tap on HOME in the bottom left.
- Tap on SETTINGS (the gear icon in the upper right).
- Tap on MANAGE ZONES.
- Tap on ADD NEW ZONE.
- Input the name of the zone.
- If desired, input the description of the zone (this field is optional).
- Tap on SAVE.
Editing a Zone
- Download and open the Everspruce Home Inventory App.
- Tap on HOME in the bottom left.
- Tap on SETTINGS (the gear icon in the upper right).
- Tap on MANAGE ZONES.
- Tap on the zone you want to change the name of.
- Tap on OPTIONS.
