Introduction
Are you tired of constantly misplacing your belongings in areas they aren’t normally found or forgetting who borrowed items from you? We believe Everspruce is both the best iPad inventory app and Android’s best app for home inventory; one of the many reasons why is the checkout feature’s ability to help you remember where misplaced items are and who has borrowed them. In this blog post, we’re going to dive into the power of the Everspruce Home Inventory App Checkout Feature and see how it can help you track your home inventory.
How does the checkout feature work?
The checkout feature helps you keep track of items that you’ve moved from their normal storage area. For example, let’s say your friend wants to borrow one of your board games. Instead of handing the game over to them and forgetting that you ever let them borrow it, you can give them the board game, search for the game in the Everspruce App and use the checkout feature to mark it as borrowed. Here’s the steps for that specific example in more detail:
- Open the app.
- Search for the board game your friend wants to borrow. Once you’ve located it, tap on the entry.
- Now that you’re on the entry detail page, tap on the “Checked Out” button to indicate that the item is no longer in its normal spot.
- Optionally, you can even add a note to your item:
- Tap on “Edit Entry”.
- Add a quick note about who borrowed the game or where you’ve moved it to in the description or title. This way, you’ll always know exactly where your belongings are and who has them.
- Tap “Save”.
- Optionally, you can even add a note to your item:
- Now, let’s fast forward to when your friend returns the board game to you. Checking the game back in is a breeze!
- Open the app again.
- Tap on the search icon in the bottom right.
- Tap on “Checked Out” button to filter down to all the items that have been checked out.
- Tap on the board game to get to its detail page.
- Tap on the “Checked Out” button to deselect it once you’ve returned the board game to its proper place and you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that your home is clutter-free once again.
